I turn emerging technology into businesses that scale.

For more than 20 years, I’ve worked where new technology becomes commercial reality — building the customer, commercial, and operating systems that turn new capabilities into durable businesses.

NOW BUILDING YourLens

New technologies create markets before companies know how to operate them.

01

Cloud Infrastructure

At StorageNetworks, I entered technology as enterprise infrastructure began shifting toward networked, service-based models.

02

Digital Advertising

Helped commercialize new advertising models as audiences, media, and performance marketing moved online.

03

Digital Video + Television

Helped build the operating infrastructure behind Videology as television and digital advertising converged.

04

Bring Your Own Algorithm

GDPR Article 20 made data portability a right. Adaptive AI is making it useful — giving consumers a way to carry preferences, context, and intelligence across platforms and put their data to work on their own behalf.

Selected Work

Videology

Building the operating system for scale.

Helped build the commercial and operating infrastructure behind Videology’s growth from roughly 12 people to more than 500 globally, eventually leading a 60-person Customer Operations organization spanning Client Success, Revenue Operations, and 24/7 support.

Advertising.com

Changing the economics of an emerging market.

Developed a new pricing and commercial model for online education that helped grow the business sevenfold while generating approximately $35 million in annual savings for clients.

Lucid + Collider

Making acquisitions work after the deal closes.

Led customer and operating integration across the Lucid and Collider acquisitions, retaining 100% of clients and 86% of employees through the transition.

THE CURRENT CHAPTER

AI changed the economics of exploration.

Ideas that once required a funded engineering organization can now be explored, built, and tested at a fraction of the historical cost.

I’m using that leverage to build YourLens, an AI-native consumer product exploring whether the intelligence platforms create about people can become something individuals control and use for themselves.

Strategy is useful.
Making it work is better.

My work tends to sit between Product, Engineering, Sales, customers, finance, and execution — the places where good technology either becomes a business or disappears into organizational entropy.

I believe good operating systems invite tension. Shared numbers, competing perspectives, explicit ownership, and decisions that have consequences. Without that pressure, organizations naturally drift into consensus and ambiguity.

I build the connective systems: commercial models, cross-border operations, integrations, forecasting, and operating structures that let businesses make better decisions.

I’m Rich Morrissey.

I’ve spent more than two decades helping technology companies make the jump from promising capability to functioning business. That work has taken me across infrastructure, digital advertising, television, data, and global platform operations.

Most of my career has been spent in the connective tissue: where technology meets customers, commercial models, organizations, and execution.

Today, I’m applying that experience more directly, building YourLens and exploring the intersection of AI and data portability.

Let’s build something useful.
